A Thai wood coconut grater with stainless steel blade ( called gkra-dtai, which means "rabbit"). The serrated end is placed inside a coconut half then twisted against the meat to create fine shavings. This version is fashioned into a stool which you sit on providing you with good leverage while you grate the coconut. Fresh grated coconut is a common ingredient in Thai cooking. Coconut grater/scraper

I used to do this when I was young boy for my grandma in Hawaii. She and my grandfather migrated from the Philipines. She would make tasty coconut pastries and Pure Coconut oil for our skin care. The smell of pure coconut was heavenly! This oil beats Hawaiian Tropics, Coppertone and the rest leaving them in the dust! All Natural and pure coconut oil.
