huarachera (huarache press)

Truly a Mexican cooking tool for the chef who has (almost) everything. This fine gadget is an authenitic huarache press. Huaraches (actually the name means shoe) are in fact shoe-shaped masa cakes which are heated on a grill and topped with various ingredients like beans, cheese or creama to name a few. Nicely casted from sturdy aluminum with a strong handle and sits atop 3 little feet with rubber pads so it adheres to your counter top as you work. Well-Made in Mexico. Includes recipe.
