A handsome basalt, Lava party sized stone pig molcajete. Our authentic stone pig molcajetes measure approximate dimensions: 14 1/4" bowl (this dimension does not include the head) and 8 1/2" tall. The length from the far end of the bowl to the tip of the nose is 18". Very good capacity (20+ cups estimated) Each molcajete is hand made in central Mexico. Many of the pigs made today are a stone "conglomerate" that is, ground stone mixed with concrete. These pieces are hand carved natural lava.
