olive wood mortar and pestle 5 1/2 in

This beautiful tool is made in France from solid olivewood. Our mortar and pestle was hand turned and has hand rubbed oil finish. These tools are made from old trees which are being replaced with new productive olive trees. The wood mortar and pestle is perfect for grinding herbs, spices, seeds, and salts. The mortar is approximately 5 1/2" across and 3 1/2" tall and weighs 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds. The pestle is 6" long. These are handmade of solid hardwood so shape, grain, and coloration will vary slightly from piece to piece. Capacity about 1 to 1 1/4 cups.
